I would be interested in hearing from fellow SMC members (or ex-SMC members) about what they may be using as resources in addition to or in lieu of Sovereign Man. Here are a few for me:
Liberty.me forum. Well put together forum for those of a libertarian persuasion, with articles, forums, and media. It is now free (it used to cost $50 a year). The discussion boards are not too frequently used, and most of the focus tends to be by libertarians arguing over esoteric points of libertarianism, without much boots on the ground practicality. There is a “PT” discussion forum, but it is even in less frequent use than the other forum discussions.
http://www.qwealth.com: a nice little subscription site that has a lot of potential. Not a high cost, and occasionally offers gems–like access to a prepaid anonymous debit card. Downside is that their output is sporadic and irregular.
More to come, but would love other members’ thoughts.

“The Expat Files” podcast. http://www.thenewexpat.com
Typically twice a week podcast, published on Fridays and Sundays, by Johnny Mueller, a long time expat living in Central America. Great practical and simple boots on the ground advice about expatriation, living a free lifestyle, and particularly living in Central America. You can find him on Stitcher, Itunes, and probably other sites as well.
December 4, 2016 at 9:33 pm #1423wldeatonKeymasterWith regard to the Expat Files podcast, Johnny Mueller this week has an interesting couple of podcasts about a very unusual, but easy, way to plant a flag–buy a plan from Decameron Resorts for long-term use. I.e., it’s a deluxe “club” plan for a Latin brand all-inclusive that would effectively give you full time living access, along with food, at about a dozen resorts in Latin America. Give it a listen.
April 11, 2018 at 7:23 pm #1587wldeatonKeymasterThere are starting to be a few more expat-related podcasts online. Unfortunately, the Nomad Capitalist podcast ceased producing, though the owner is still blogging and writing online. http://www.nomadcapitalist.com

https://www.freedomsurfer.comIt looks like a reasonable alternative to an SMC subscription, the information is more low level actionable stuff with areal eye on the details. I’m in the paid group (lifetime one off fee). It’s always busy.
