I just read a quick e book by the author of How to Disappear. This book is a quick read and discusses how you lose your privacy online and how you can help reduce your digital footprint. Hint: it’s not so much deleting your presence as it is creating lots of noise and false positives. The author isn’t a polished writer and you will find numerous typos; however, he gives good information and it’s worth the price of reading.

I like the strategy of false positives. A long time ago I was involved in financial investigation work and things like this would cause headaches. Ie. finding memberships in random towns all over the country opened months apart.
